In this blackly comic thriller, London businessman Pete (Rhys Ifans) feels the strain of modern life as his father, business and relationship with his girlfriend (Sadie Frost) start to fall apart. He becomes involved with the high life of millionaire Russian gangsters and before long his life gets much more complicated.
Rancid Aluminium is directed by Ed Thomas and adapted by James Hawes from his bestselling book. The film stars Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill), Tara Fitzgerald (Brassed Off), Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love), Sadie Frost (Dracula), Steven Berkoff (A Clockwork Orange), Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Keith Allen (Trainspotting) and Andrew Howard (Revolver) and was produced by Steve Daly.
Filmed in London, Wales and Poland, Rancid Aluminium was produced for Ballpark Productions Partnership and Entertainment Film Distributors and distributed internationally by Trimark Video, PlayArte Filmes, Sociedad General de Derechos Audiovisuales (SOGEDASA) and VCL Communications.
